Thanks for getting in touch. I am not interested in working at Uber for a number of reasons, which are probably all-too-familiar to you.

• Labor issues, specifically the abuse of "dependent contractors”

• Lack of transparency around pay, a willingness to change pay out from under drivers (who have very little recourse)

• From what I’ve read the business isn’t really sustainable, overly dependent on VC debt financing, unable to grow the market sufficiently

• Just a general sense that the “sharing economy” exacerbates the trend of growing social inequality, the unequal power of rider over a driver’s long-term livelihood

• Uber has come to symbolize all the things that I like the least about our industry, it pains me that companies have tried to imitate your tactics

• I’ve been boycotting the app since I was at the JFK airport protests

• I’m on team public transit

I don’t mean to be hyperbolic, but I did want to at least explain why I’m not interested. I know you can’t address these things, but hope the feedback might be helpful.
