YouthMappers / Esri Community Workshop

Using OSM Data to Make Decisions and Solve Problems

Saturday, September 1, 2018.

Hosted by Ardhi University (thank you πŸ™)

Workshop leader: John Gravois, Product Engineer, Esri Inc. πŸ‘‹

Workshop Organizers: Marcela Zeballos and Chad Belvins (YouthMappers); Mike Gould (Esri Inc.). πŸ’ƒ

Workshop helpers: Mike Gould and Wencelaus Nabiswa (Esri Eastern Africa, Nairobi). πŸ‘¬

Objectives

Why are we running this workshop? YouthMappers runs community mapping events around the world. Esri has collaborated with YouthMappers on some, and in this case would like to introduce a few novelties: taking your community (OSM) data to the next level in terms of analysis, exploring vector basemap data, and creating StoryMaps.

  • learn some new free tools πŸ“”
  • have fun! ✌️

Some workshop participants are already YouthMappers members: great!

For those of you who are new to YouthMappers, Chad and Marcela will provide an introduction. You can learn more at https://www.youthmappers.org/
